CLAMP

    Ok I don't like CLAMP as much as I like many other manga artists, but they crank out a lot of work that is of good quality. Some of the stories feel derivative, but they are still fun to read.

    Does anyone have a favorite CLAMP series?

    What is the best piece that CLAMP ever made?

    If you wanted to introduce someone to CLAMP what would you suggest they read?

    If I remember right, CLAMP is a group of Japanese---or are their Korean???---girls who work together in a team to produce manga. Like 'Rayearth' and 'Wish' came from CLAMP. I only liked 'Wish' because it was a funny story about demons and angels, and it had the coolest sidestory.
    However, their stories like 'Rayearth' are just messed up. They try to make it TOO fantasized, like a Shounen, but they totally messed it up because they made it so goddamn dramatic and everything. Besides that, they overalll art was a bit different from that of 'Wish' so I was actually surprised that I liked reading 'Wish'.

    In short, I respect them but I don't really like them. However, if they stuck to SHORT SERIES rather than long ones they MAY just be a bit more FAMOUS.

    Yeah, I remembered that after realizing/recalling that Wish is read Japanese way and all.

    Tsubasa... arg... All I can say is: though I haven't actually read it, I haven't heard any good reviews about it. >:(

    Hmmmm.... I watched this anime (Code Geass) that was drawn by clamp. I was like, What?? No way! This story doesn't seem their type at all! But then I checked and it wasn't their story but it was clamp. -_-"

    Code Geass is one of the few most ANNOYING like FREAKEN anime I've ever seen!!! I've only seen a few episodes and I was annoyed with it after a few minutes. The only cool part is the defense mech. for 'Nightmare'!

    I think CLAMP has a Mech. festish. Even Rayearth was like that...

    Clamp is ok. I don't really like their older manga, but I think it's getting better. The first manga I read was Cardcaptor Sakura though. It's what got me into manga.

    Cardcaptor Sakura was also annoying to me... sorry... too much like Mew Mew Power and Salior Moon for my liking... ugh...
