I really like her art style. They are such hot drawings! haha
But her stories can be a little confusing.

Her drawings (because you said she drew Vampire Knight which I've never read but I have seen) reminds me of Arino who draw Full Moon (so far can only recall this manga), and etc.
The faces are drawn the same but the difference are the eyes, even the hair seems a bit of the same style (A BIT, Arino is into more complex hair).
However, I think for Cheese Cake who seems to only been able to draw Shounen, Matsuri Hino Sensei may be someone good to study. ^^

Well, I have to say I love her drawings, too... She said in Vampire Knight that that was like, her first(?) serious series... Meru Peri was supposed to be comedy and she said she was good at it...

And how's her storyline confusing?  ???  Somehow, they're aren't confusing to me...  Am I weird here??  :-[

    different mindset, different interpretions.

however, it depends on the kinda of manga you were exposed to when you first started your interest in the manga world. (for me, first manga = Ranma 1/2, first anime = pokemon)

Lol, I guess you're right there, Konoha.  I did kind of start off with shojo manga first.  And all that stuff.  I think the first shojo manga I read for sure was Wedding Peach(I forgot who the mangaka is but it's pretty old itself), then, I started with W-Juliet by Emura, then, I went with Yuu Watase.  I went to shonen just recently, but I like it already.  And Hino probably came after Yuu Watase.  But I still love Hino's artwork, too.  It's kind of like, the really serious and pro drawing... Well, aren't they all? Lol. :P

First manga: Wedding Peach, First Anime: Pokemon(if I really think about it myself and I never knew it to be anime, even as a kid, so sad. -_-")

I've read a volume or two of Vampire Knight and, although the story lost my interest pretty quickly, the art was pretty good. :3

Still feel like ignoring Vampire Knight.
Maybe when I feel more "girly" I may go back to watch/read it......... right at this point in time, a little too worn out with this "vampire" rage. sigh....

Yeah, Konoha, I wouldn't suggest it. Try something else made by them maybe?
